Who says you can’t find tasty food easily in penang ?

I didn’t manage to explore Penang in deep due to time constraint and was there only 1 night :(

Nevertheless, managed to find some great food at reasonable prices and 1 minute walk from Tunehotels Penang .

NEW WORLD PARK

Surprisingly but true that the prices of food are quite reasonable including restaurants and food courts.

It’s next to TUNEHOTELS and have wide ranges of restaurants that are unique design and food.

The rou gu cha restaurant has various set meals from RM7.50 (SGD3.30 ) with beverages and desert as well as ru gu cha noodles or rice in one .

Prices are quite reasonable but not many customers as you can see. perhaps it is the weekday but it’s dinner time.

Does this remind you of 小娘惹 / Xiao Niang Re ?

Its unique structure and atmosphere is simply wonderful and lots of diners inside .

Food isn’t that expensive , quite reasonable about RM8.50 for a unique chinese dish like hot plate .

Won’t you want to dine in here ?

The food court is most reasonable priced place to dine in . Food are quite cheap ranging from RM3 for a plate of char kuey teow , Fish and chip for RM8 , claypot rice 煲饭 for RM4.50 which is so much cheaper than Singapore !

I ate all of the above because leaving for singapore the next day , so must finish all or else, must wait till next time to return to here !

And this tasty ice kachang which isn’t that sweet costs only RM2 which is SGD $0.80 . Cheap hur ?

Many other restaurants are as below , so you won’t get hungry in penang ! :

And there’s this furniture shop which is impressively nice. I think it is the only shop there that doesn’t sell any food !

Nice statues and carts ! :)

Anyway, that’s all for new world park . It’s a tourist food hub but the prices are reasonable  !

Recommended to visit it if possible !

Next post will be on MORE FOOD IN PENANG ! :)

Stay Tuned !

We usually go to the Oldtown White coffee. Sorry I don’t fancy the food at New World Pk :P Don’t even try their fruit juice, they add alot of water into the juice. But in term of cleanliness of the food centre (dunno abt the stalls!), it’s lot better than others around Penang. :P

btw, usually the food centre is quite empty, think it’s mostly visited by tourists. I always go Kimberley St at night for the famous fried kuay teow, also for the braised duck n chicken! Fatty stuff at night :P

cos it seems that there is only one kind of such air-con cafe called “Oldtown White Coffee” around!! It’s expensive I must say, service not so good, yet need to pay them service charge + govt tax. N I think they add syrup into the coffee, so sometimes it’s too sweet. But the toast n nasi lemak not bad. No matter what, I find the Msia Oldtown is better than the Oldtown in Singapore.
